Chamber pots were widely used even though most of the houses in Place-Royale had privies. They were usually emptied into these privies, though the habit of "tossing everything out into the street" was somewhat tenacious. This chamber pot has a scalloped rim and transfer-printed floral decoration. The transfer-printing process was very popular in the 19th century. Semi-Porcelain Chamber Pot. Blue and white. Stamped: #236165. Very nice. Item # - PJ 2010. This is an unmarked chamber pot. It measures 8 3/4" across by 7" high. The handle and lid feature a lovely design. The flowers are blue and the gold trim is in great shape. There are some minor hairlines on the bottom piece at the base, plus a small hairline at the top rim. Despite these flaws this is a lovely solid piece.
